First step is to remove your existing turf. For smaller jobs we use a sod cutter, while larger jobs require heavier equipment. In either case we take great care to minimally disturb the existing soil to preserve its structure and keep the micro-organisms that help deliver nutrients to your lawn alive!

After the old turf is removed we install a layer of top soil to provide a nutrient rich bed for the new sod to be installed on. We also use the new soil to smooth out the grade and fill in any low spots. Typically 1" of new soil is plenty to provide a healthy transition for your new sod - but we can install more if required!

Finally we install your new sod! Great care is taken to ensure as seamless an installation as possible. We finish by rolling your lawn with a drum roller to promote contact with the soil.
